Garrott, J.R. (1995) On the Search for Chinese Values: 1948-1994 Selected papers of Southwest Conference on Asian Studies, Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas, 7-14 This paper focuses on three surveys of Chinese values on the mainland and two administered elsewhere. First comes that of Charles Morris (1948), second undertaken by the Chinese Cultural Connection organized Michael Harris Bond beyond China (1987) at the cultural level. The third presents the author determined a systematic cross-sectional investigation of cultural values among college students (Chine, Taiwan), using the Chinese Values Survey as the instrument of measurement and according to demographics data (1988-1994).

Rostov-on-Don: RSPU The paper is based on the concept what in an education setting most effective communication must arise from individuals (administrators, teachers, students), their friendly interaction, understanding and respect. The author describes some quantitative and qualitative results from First Cultural Values Survey and Attitudes Toward English Study Questionnaire she used in China. In the References the author gives a useful brief list of suggested readings.
